“We barely had the lines wet before the action started. On just his third cast of the morning, Matthew hooked into a beautiful slot-sized Redfish that couldn’t resist the Shrimp Daddy in Champagne Supernova. That set the tone for the rest of the day, finishing out a full Inshore Slam!” – The Dillon Family
The Setup: Matthew was throwing a 3/8 oz Ironhide 2X Jig paired with a 3-inch Shrimp Daddy in Champagne Supernova. In South Florida’s backcountry, that combo is a “cheat code” for redfish, snook, and trout alike.
While we caught multiple slot reds throughout the day, we only kept one for the grill and let the rest go to fight another day. Huge thanks to Mangrove Magic for making the gear that helps us make these memories. There’s nothing like seeing your son check off a slam before lunch!
