About
Mangrove Magic
We are Mangrove Magic, and we do more than just make baits—we build your confidence on the water.
I’m John Dillon — sixth-generation Florida cracker, fishing addict, and the guy who finally got tired of baits that looked like Vegas and fished like Reno.
Founded by Florida native and lifelong angler John Dillon, Mangrove Magic was born from the pull of the tides and the pulse of the fight. Our saltwater baits are engineered and crafted through extensive research and testing, working closely with our pro staff to develop baits that work.
Whether you’re stalking snook in the shadows or chasing bull reds on the flats, Mangrove Magic gives you the edge. Because here, it’s not just fishing: it’s Florida slayed.
Mangrove Magic started because I wanted baits that actually matched what was happening in the water, not the newest trend on social media.
I built profiles and colors tailored to SWFL, tuned to the seasons, water clarity, and fish mood swings. Just ask, and we can do the same for you with custom baits that fit your local bite.
I got with my buddies — along with a pile of beers — and we tested everything. The results? These baits don’t suck. They kick ass. They even catch bass, which wasn’t the goal, but we’re not mad about it.
we don’t chase trends, we CATCH fish.
Our mission is to make baits that match your situation, wherever and whatever you’re targeting. If it doesn’t exist yet, tell us what you need and we’ll work on making it a reality.
Mangrove Magic — we’re out here looking for a fight.
The Heart & Soul
Behind Mangrove Magic
Every bait and design is crafted through a unique, hands-on process.
Vision
Design
Once the idea hits, I tweak it and make it real. Sometimes it’s a bait color or style in response to the bait of the season. Sometimes it’s a shirt. Either way, it’s all designed to stand out and make saltwater life a little more ridiculous—in the best way.
Execution
No team. No warehouse. Just me, a label printer, and a lot of coffee. I make it, pack it, and send it straight to your door. If something’s wrong, I’m the guy fixing it. If something’s awesome, I’m the guy high-fiving myself.
